Overview

Effective Aid Ukraine is an Irish and Ukrainian registered NGO focused on finding the most effective ways to support children and adults with physical and mental disabilities in Ukraine, particularly those living in long-term institutional settings. The organisation has partnered with institutions in Eastern Europe since 1998. Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, it has supported more than 1,200 Ukrainian refugees, mainly women and children, to relocate from frontline cities to safety in Ireland.

The Effective Aid Ukraine project involved a full website revamp to strengthen fundraising performance and clearly communicate impact. We restructured the content to make it easier for visitors to understand what the organisation does, what each project delivers, and why support matters. Projects were brought to the forefront with clearer descriptions, improved navigation, and stronger calls to action designed to guide users toward donating and getting involved. The updated website presents the organisation’s mission, approach, and partners in a more accessible and engaging way, while making key initiatives such as the Independent Living Project more visible and easier to explore across desktop and mobile devices.
