Overview

Sólás na Mara is a seaweed bathhouse and wellness centre based in An Rinn, County Waterford, offering traditional seaweed baths, massage therapies, and group experiences by the Irish coast.

Looking to refresh their digital presence and improve the booking experience, Sólás na Mara partnered with ITM Digital and Fáilte Ireland for a complete website redesign. Our goal was to create a platform that extends the business’s real-world presence and reflects what it offers customers: the calming sense of relaxation inspired by it’s natural setting. We also aimed to ensure a smooth, intuitive integration between the website and booking system to make it easier for customers to book treatments online.

Project Scope

Sólás na Mara engaged ITM Digital to completely redesign the website, focusing on user experience, seamless booking, and storytelling. The goal was to better reflect the unique atmosphere of this wellness hub, improve online visibility, and simplify the journey from discovery to reservation. Our objective was to ensure the new website became a direct digital extension of the warm, restorative experience Sólás na Mara offers in person.

Immersive New Website Design: A modern, calming visual design inspired by sea tones, local landscape, and natural textures to reflect the therapeutic, coastal setting of the business.

Streamlined Online Booking: The booking experience was a major focus. We integrated a user-friendly system that simplifies appointment selection and payment, making it easy for both locals and tourists to book seaweed baths, massages, and group experiences.

Optimised for Mobile Users: With many bookings coming from mobile devices, the site was built with a responsive framework for flawless browsing and booking across all screen sizes.
